To prepare for your shamanic healing session, we recommend that you note any dreams that may happen leading up to your appointment.

It is strongly suggested that you abstain from alcohol and recreational drugs for 24 hours prior to your appointment.

On the day of your appointment, go outside and speak to Spirit, your ancestors, God, or the Nature of Life that is present all around you. Open your heart and speak the words that are true. It is strongly encouraged that you then give an offering to Mama Earth as a way of saying thank you for helping you and helping your practitioner to help you. Offerings such as sage, lavendar, tobacco, sugar, oats, or flowers are wonderful.

Please do not wear strong perfumes to your appointment.

People are often curious about why I always ask them to bring "offerings" to circles or sessions.  This is a really great question! In fact all questions are good because although it is important to have an open heart and be present in a ceremony or practice, it is equally as important to know why we are doing something and where it comes from.

The Fire and Water of Beltaine

Today is May Day, or the Celtic Fire festival of Beltaine, known in Ireland as Bealtaine or in Scotland as Bealtuinn. It is thought that this celebration was named after the old Celtic sun god, Belenos, or Bel, which means shining, while "tine" translates as fire.
